LUSAKA - Family members, Government officials, members of the diplomatic corps and other mourners today gathered at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka to pay their final respects to Zambia's late Ambassador to China, Ivan Zyuulu.
The funeral service brought together relatives, friends and colleagues who celebrated the late diplomat's life and service to the nation ahead of his burial.
Ambassador Zyuulu will be laid to rest tomorrow in Chikankata District, where family, friends and dignitaries are expected to gather for his final farewell.
The late ambassador served Zambia in various diplomatic capacities, most recently as the country's envoy to the People's Republic of China.
The funeral service was held at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross, one of the country's principal venues for state and official memorial services.
