WE have picked some lessons from this season and we are happy to have escaped the tough jaws of relegation, says Napsa Stars FC board chairman Stanley Zingani Phiri.

And Phiri says he is happy that the innovations that were applied to help the team avoid relegation have worked.

“I am happy that our efforts to survive relegation worked and it is now clear that Napsa Stars have escaped the tough jaws of relegation after being in the relegation zone for 31 weeks of the 38 weeks calendar. We are proud of the team and we hope to pick up lessons from this season and to do better next year,” Phiri said.

He looked forward to performing better next season.“This is football and we are happy that we have lived to fight another day. This year has not been our best year but we have belief in our boys that they will do much better next season,” said Phiri.

Napsa spent most of the 2018 season trying to stay in the top-flight, with the club twice changing coaches including the board.
