GARRY NKOMBO DENIES EYEING UPND PRESIDENCY

UPND Chairperson for Elections Garry Nkombo has rubbished claims that he wants to challenge President Hakainde Hichilema at the next convention for the position of party president.

Mr. Nkombo says the speculations should be treated as PF propaganda trying to destabilize the UPND adding that it has never been his intention to challenge President Hichilema as his allegiance is with the sitting president.

He clarifies that President Hichilema has a mandate of up to 2031 to govern the country and that the UPND will only have a conversation about changing the party presidency in 2031 and not before.

Mr. Nkombo was responding to Patriotic Front Chairperson for Information and Publicity Emmanuel Mwamba and Human Rights Activist Brebner Changala’s allegations that he wants to be the next UPND President.
