EDGAR LUNGU CALLS FOR EARLY ELECTIONS

Former President Edgar Lungu has asked Zambians to call for an early election accusing Republican President Hakainde Hichilema of failing to run the economy.

Mr. Lungu claims that his worst in terms of governance is better than Mr. Hichilema's best performance.

Speaking at an Opposition Press Briefing, Mr. Lungu says even the people that supported the President while in opposition are now against his leadership.

But Chief Government Spokesperson, Cornelius Mweetwa, has accused the opposition leaders of being power hungry describing their criticisms as political hypocrisy.
