UNITED Party for National Development UPND thugs deployed around the ridgeway area where in a near punch up with the police manning the area as Sixth President Dr Edgar Chagwa Lungu has accompanied his wife and children.
President Edgar Chagwa LUNGU’s wife Mrs Esther Lungu, his daughter Chiyeso Lungu and Tasila Lungu have been summoned for questioning at the Drug Enforcement Commission DEC for unknown reasons.
We are yet to establish the causes for the summoning and subsequent questioning of the three members of the immediate past national first family.
The UPND cadres are being commandeered by notorious and known hooligans Brian Mulenga, another one only identified as Fanwell Hasulwe and others to harm the sixth President and his family that are appearing for questioning DEC Headquarters.
The cadres engaged in an exchange with police when they attempted to manhandle opposition leaders Peter Chanda and Wright Musoma who were only rescued by the police from the angry thugs.
After having no access to the Sixth President, his wife and children whom they intended to harm, The UPND thugs turned to all who they were able to identify as supporters of the ex President and his family.
There appears to be some advanced amount of fear amongst police officers to deal with the UPND thugs as they completely failed to arrest or contain them as they started haul insults at police and journalists.
