ZNS COMMAND DIRECTED TO ENSURE NEWLY LAUNCHED EAGLES GROUP OF COMPANIES ADHERES TO PUBLIC FINANCIAL REGULATIONS

Defence Minister Ambrose Lufuma has urged the Zambia National Service-ZNS command to ensure the companies under it's brand, the Eagles Holding Group of Companies run professionally, transparent and allow government oversight and adherence to public financial regulations.

Speaking at the launch of the Eagles Holding Limited Group of Companies and it's subsidiary Eagles Alert Security Company in Lusaka today, Mr. Lufuma has also directed the ZNS command to swiftly operationalize the remaining six companies.

Mr. Lufuma further stated that the entry of ZNS in the provision of security and other businesses is not meant to push other players out of business but to promote competition and raising of standards.

At the same event, ZNS Commander Maliti Solochi said the landmark launch of the Eagles Holding Group of companies is pivotal in the continued transformation of the service to be a more relevant and people centered.

Under the eagles group of companies, the ZNS has eight companies namely Eagles Fuels and Lubricants, Eagles Exploration and Minerals, Eagles Bus Services among others while only two namely the Eagles Alert Security Company and eagles plus trading are currently operational.
