President Hakainde Hichilema has eulogized former Vice President Dr. Guy Scott for his role in uniting Zambians during challenging times.
Speaking during a memorial service at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Lusaka where he led mourners in remembering the former vice president who died last week after an illness, President Hichilema said Dr. Scott never saw ethnicity or race in any human being.
He said the late Dr. Scott understood the importance of bringing the country together to deliver good for the nation.
And widow, Charlotte Scott in a tribute to her husband delivered by her sister Stepharnie Hallard described Dr. Scott as an intelligent and loving father to his family.
She said Dr. Scott loved his country and dedicated his life to working for the people.
Meanwhile, family representative Emmanuel Chenda has commended President Hichilema and government for the care given to Dr. Scott during his illness.
