SIMON MWILA, ADRIAN BANDA RALLY KABANANA RESIDENTS WITH MESSAGE OF UNITY
LUSAKA – Independent aspiring Lusaka Mayor Simon Mulenga Mwila has said collaboration among leaders is essential to delivering meaningful development, following a mini rally held at Highland School Grounds in Kabanana alongside Independent aspiring Mandevu Member of Parliament Adrian Banda.
Speaking after the event, Mr. Mwila said he joined Mr. Banda to demonstrate their shared commitment to serving the people through unity and cooperation rather than political divisions.
He said the two leaders believed communities deserved representatives who could work together for the common good and focus on improving people’s lives.
“In Bemba we say, ‘Twende babili te mwenso.’ There is strength in walking together,” Mr. Mwila said.
He expressed gratitude for the turnout at the rally, describing the response from residents of Kabanana as encouraging and inspiring.
Mr. Mwila said the reception reaffirmed their commitment to continue engaging with communities and pursuing leadership based on service and accountability.
“Today, Hon. Adrian and I stood side by side because we believe our people deserve leaders who can work together, regardless of position, for one common purpose: improving the lives of our people,” he said.
He further said the forthcoming election should be viewed as an opportunity to promote honest leadership, fresh ideas and leaders who would remain connected to the people beyond the election period.
“This election is bigger than individuals. It is about giving our communities honest leadership, fresh ideas, and leaders who will remain close to the people long after the votes have been counted,” Mr. Mwila said.
