UNZA STUDENTS TO RETURN TO CAMPUS THIS SATURDAY

THE University of Zambia (UNZA) management has announced that students who are scheduled to sit for mid-year examinations will return to campus this coming Saturday, while their examinations will run from Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 31, 2026.
In a notice seen by Kalemba, deputy vice-chancellor (Academic Affairs) Professor Boniface Namangala, said students who are not sitting for the mid-year examinations will report back later, on August 1, 2026.
The return follows the completion of rehabilitation works on the university's water and sewer infrastructure, which forced Senate last month to postpone the return of students until the facilities were ready.
UNZA also announced that online teaching and learning for the second term of the 2025/26 academic year will be suspended from July 14 to July 31.
"The University appreciates your patience, understanding and cooperation, and regrets any inconvenience caused. A revised University Calendar will be communicated in due course," Professor Namangala stated.
Meanwhile, the university said results for the mid-year examinations will be released together with the final examination results at the end of the 2025/26 academic year.
