KAPIRI MPOSHI - Four members of the Baptist Church have died while 20 others sustained injuries after a Toyota Hiace church bus carrying 24 passengers overturned along the Great North Road in Kapiri Mposhi on Sunday night.
The accident occurred when the church bus, which was transporting congregants, overturned along the highway under circumstances that have not yet been officially disclosed.
The four victims died at the scene, while the remaining 20 passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries and were rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities are yet to release the identities of the deceased as police continue investigations into the cause of the accident.
