LUSAKA - Former Leader of the Opposition Robert Chabinga has congratulated President Hakainde Hichilema and Vice-President Mutale Nalumango on their swearing-in for a second term.
Mr Chabinga said the renewed mandate demonstrated the confidence Zambians had placed in President Hichilema's leadership.
He described the second term as an opportunity to strengthen national unity, accelerate development and improve the welfare of citizens.
Mr Chabinga wished President Hichilema and Vice-President Nalumango wisdom, strength, good health and guidance as they continue serving the nation.
He expressed hope that the second term would be characterised by peace, unity, meaningful development and progress.
Mr Chabinga urged the leadership to remain committed to the aspirations and welfare of all Zambians, saying he looked forward to a successful and impactful second term.
