Government has released over K457 million Social Cash Transfer funds for the months of May and June this year for beneficiaries in all the 116 Districts across the country.
In a statement issued to the media today, Chief Government Spokesperson Chushi Kasanda said 84 districts have so far confirmed receiving the funds in their accounts.
Ms Kasanda, who is also Information and Media Minister said government is happy that the facility continues to impact positively on the lives of the people.
She added that the New Dawn Administration will ensure that the disbursement of the Social Cash Transfer remains constant and consistent for the benefit of the eligible households.
She advised beneficiaries to contact the District Welfare Assistance Committees in their respective districts to access their funds.
