'BULLDOZER' TURNED TO SCRAP AFTER LOSING KABUSHI SEAT, AS PATRIOTIC FRONT MEMBERS FULLY ACCEPT THE OUTCOME OF JUDGEMENT.

THE Constitutional Court has nullified the election of Bowman Lusambo populary known as the Bulldozer as Kabushi Member of Parliament.

Mr Lusambo last year made an appeal after his seat was petitioned by United Party For National Development (UPND) candidate Bernard Kanengo and nullified by the High Court in Ndola.

Now the Bulldozer has lost the seat after the Constitution Court has deemed a fail all the grounds of appeal he set before it.

Before judgement could be read in full, Mr Lusambo who seemed confused, left the court premises and did not stay for full judgement to be heard.

However, Patriotic Front acting President Given Lubinda said that party fully accept the outcome and have thanked the courts.

"We will use this period to restrategize and plan for the next stage of our political participation. We view this as a minor setback in our God’s intentioned plan to serve our people.To our people in Kabushi, do not be moved. Your choice shall remain the best," he said.

And Kabushi aspiring candidate Mr Kanengo said justice has prevailed and is fully ready to contest the seat.

"Finally justice has prevailed. It has sent a signal that we should not use illegal means to ascend to public office.I am recontesting on UPND and I will win," he said.

In judgement, Constitutional Court Mr Justice Palan Mulonda stated in his ruling that he could not fault the lower court of it's findings and has since nullified the Kabushi seat.

Judge Mulonda found Mr Lusambo guilty in all grounds of appeal being that of Corruption, violence , giving money to voters and being associated with the Nato forces during and before the August 12th General elections.
