POLICE have arrested a 35 year old man of Chunga for defiling and impregnating a 14 year old girl.
The grade six girl who is now four months pregnant was defiled last year by Peter Ssentumbwe also known as Muhammed.
According to Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga two days ago the victim's mother was shocked to learn that her daughter was pregnant.
The victim later disclosed that Ssentumbwe was responsible for the pregnancy and he was arrested.
“The incident is alleged to have occurred between May 2023 at an unknown date and time in October 2023 in Chunga. Brief facts of the matter are that the mother of the victim reported the matter to the police after she discovered that her daughter was four months pregnant on January 2,2024,”the police said.
In another development a 28 year old man of Lusaka was caught red-handed at a named church in Kamwala defiling a girl aged 13.
Alex Phiri was found having carnal knowledge of the juvenile by passersby after they heard the victim screaming for help.
“The reporters were on their way to Kamwala to collect money from their friend and when they reached a named church in Kamwala near the wall fence they saw a man naked having carnal knowledge on the grass with a girl who was screaming when they moved closer they discovered that the girl was lying on the man’s clothes which he had spread on the ground,”Mr Hamoonga said.
