Zambian Footballer Banda Reportedly Refuses to Return to Lecce Amid Contract Dispute

LUSAKA - Zambia international Lameck Banda is reportedly refusing to return to Italian side US Lecce amid an ongoing dispute over his contract, according to sources cited by BolaNews.

Banda is currently in Lusaka and is unhappy with Lecce's decision to extend his contract, with sources alleging that the extension was made without his approval.

The sources further claim that Banda was asked to sign a document written in Italian, a language he reportedly does not understand.

Banda is also allegedly owed one month's salary and winning bonuses, with the player said to feel that he has been treated unfairly by the club.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian club Al-Fateh is reportedly interested in signing the Zambian winger. However, Lecce is said to have rejected a €2.5 million offer from the Saudi club.

Banda's next move remains uncertain as the reported contract dispute with Lecce continues.
