MAMBWE - President Hakainde Hichilema has reaffirmed the Government's commitment to addressing development challenges in Mambwe District, Eastern Province, through continued investment in infrastructure and essential public services.
During a community engagement in the district, President Hichilema acknowledged the developmental challenges facing Mambwe but said Government programmes were already delivering steady progress aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening service delivery.
The President said improving access to safe and reliable water remains a key priority, with ongoing interventions focused on addressing water supply challenges and expanding access to essential services.
He also reaffirmed Government's commitment to improving the district's road infrastructure, noting that an efficient road network is critical for facilitating the movement of people and goods, supporting economic growth and improving access to public services.
President Hichilema further acknowledged the challenge of human-animal conflict in Mambwe, stating that Government remains committed to implementing appropriate measures to reduce its impact on communities while promoting the sustainable management of wildlife resources.
He said Government will continue rolling out development interventions across the district as part of its broader agenda of ensuring equitable and sustainable national development.
The President reiterated that his administration remains committed to improving public service delivery and enhancing the wellbeing of communities throughout Mambwe District.
