CHONGWE - Vice President Mutale Nalumango has urged Zambians to carefully scrutinise political party manifestos ahead of the August 13 general election, saying the country cannot afford to be led by individuals without a clear vision.
Ms. Nalumango said political parties aspiring to govern Zambia should present practical and achievable commitments that address the needs of citizens.
She urged voters to challenge aspiring leaders to explain how they intend to grow the economy and improve the livelihoods of Zambians, citing what she described as the economic progress recorded under President Hakainde Hichilema's administration.
The Vice President was speaking yesterday during public meetings held in Kasisi, Madido and Tambalale wards in Chongwe District.
And UPND Alliance member Highvie Hamududu said Zambia's economy is on the right trajectory under President Hichilema's leadership.
Meanwhile, Senior Headman Mutamino of Kasisi thanked the Government for extending development programmes to the area.
