Harry Findlay Charged With Terrorism Funding Offence

LUSAKA - Detained Lusaka businessman Harry Findlay has been charged with prohibiting or aiding the funding of terrorism, contrary to Section 20 of the Anti-Terrorism and Non-Proliferation Act Number 6 of 2018.

Mr. Findlay's lawyer, Milner Katoto, confirmed the development to ZNBC News in Lusaka.

Mr. Katoto was speaking to journalists at the Lusaka High Court following proceedings held in Chambers.

Meanwhile, Lusaka High Court Judge Lameck Mwale has recused himself from handling Mr. Findlay's case.

The development means Mr. Findlay remains in detention pending the allocation of the matter to another judge.

Earlier, Mr. Findlay filed an application for habeas corpus pursuant to Order 54 Rules 1, 2 and 4 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of England, White Book 1999 Edition.

Mr. Findlay was arrested by a joint security team on August 4, 2026, and has remained in detention in Lusaka since then.
