Police Investigate Binwell Mpundu's Statement on Election Violence

LUSAKA - Police Spokesperson Godfrey Chilabi says the Service is actively investigating former Nkana Member of Parliament Binwell Mpundu's viral statement in which he allegedly said he was ready to "kill or be killed" for elections.

Speaking on Sun FM TV's Zambia Decides, Mr. Chilabi said police experts were examining and verifying the video, adding that the Police were taking a keen interest in Mr. Mpundu's utterances.

His comments follow an admission by the Tonse Alliance that Mr. Mpundu indeed made remarks to the effect that he was ready to "kill or be killed" for elections.
