WESTERN PROVINCE - A high-level UPND delegation led by former Mongu East aspiring Member of Parliament Mitch Mundia has praised President Hakainde Hichilema and his administration for delivering what it described as transformative development projects across Western Province.
Mr. Mundia said Government investment in roads, education and public infrastructure was contributing to inclusive economic growth and improving development prospects in the province.
The delegation, comprising senior party officials including Florina Nyambe and Sikeba Mulamata, as well as provincial, district and constituency leaders from Mongu and Kaoma, paid a courtesy call on the Kaoma District Commissioner.
The District Commissioner commended Mr. Mundia and his entourage for their efforts to monitor Government development programmes and strengthen engagement with local communities.
During the tour, the delegation inspected several Government projects in Luampa and Kaoma districts, including Lui Zeep Secondary School, where Mr. Mundia donated assorted school materials after assessing the institution's progress.
The team also inspected the ongoing upgrade of the strategic Chilombo-Katoya Road, describing the project as a landmark investment that would improve transportation, expand economic opportunities and accelerate development across the district.
Mr. Mundia reaffirmed the UPND's commitment to supporting President Hichilema's development agenda.
The delegation also urged communities to safeguard public infrastructure and continue working with Government towards building what it described as a prosperous and united Western Province and Zambia.
